Ponies, South Uist. ( Pancreatic Cancer Enhanced Recovery Programme - Glasgow Royal Infirmary )
This was a perfect South Uist morning. I had left the hotel in Loch Boisdale for an early morning explore. Early morning light can be stunning in the Outer Hebrides, and you never know what you might see in the early hours before people and traffic start to stir.
I wasn't disappointed. Having walked perhaps a quarter of a mile, I came across these beautiful ponies. Although a rather odd couple, they seemed like chums, keeping close together, and occasionally rubbing each other’s backs with their chins. They didn’t mind having me around at all. Moments like this make life so fulfilling.
