Sheep By The Tweed, Coldstream ( Pancreatic Cancer Enhanced Recovery Programme )
These sheep obligingly lined up for me, without any effort on my part. I was photographing an estate on the banks of the River Tweed, near Coldstream. My brief was to capture all aspects of the property which might be used in a brochure. I had a couple of days, but unfortunately the weather was poor, and any sunlight was a bonus. When the sun did reluctantly appear, it helped emphasise the early autumn colours, but I was struggling to find anything striking. Then I encountered this troupe of sheep. It was as if they had been commanded to pose for me – and for a moment they appeared to be spellbound. Magic.
